A29 in West Sussex Reopens After Flooding; Traffic Management and Monitoring Continue
FLOW CONTROL
West Sussex County Council has reopened the A29 Shripney Road after significant flooding, having pumped over 12 million litres of water since February 2. A 20mph speed limit and temporary traffic lights remain in place due to ongoing concerns.
The council is working with partners to investigate long-term solutions to flooding issues in the area, with a focus on funding and infrastructure improvements. Despite the reopening, officials warn that conditions could worsen with future rainfall.
