ABB has adopted the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform to consolidate its automation processes globally while maintaining local autonomy. The platform, deployed in under a year, supports over 75 use cases and an additional 150 in development.

This centralization allows ABB to standardize policies, simplify operations, and reduce manual work. Notable improvements include a reduction in patching time for SAP systems from 6.5 hours to 20 minutes per server and the automation of 4,000 ServiceNow tickets, freeing up 40,000 hours of manual work.
