AIMS has launched the ReefCat, a 3-meter autonomous vessel designed for deploying baby corals near Cairns as part of its Pilot Deployment Program. Developed in collaboration with Pipar Automation, the ReefCat features advanced safety systems and machine learning capabilities for optimal coral seeding, enhancing data collection efficiency for marine scientists. AIMS plans to expand the ReefCat fleet to further improve marine ecosystem management in line with its Strategy 2040.
