Air Liquide Considers Divestment of Global Bio-Methane Operations

NEWS

Air Liquide is reportedly exploring the sale of its bio-methane operations, which encompass 29 production units worldwide, with JPMorgan tasked to facilitate the process. While the company declined to comment, the transaction is estimated to be valued at approximately €500 million, including debt.

This potential move follows a significant acquisition earlier this month of Airgas for €2.85 billion and reflects Air Liquide's strategy of actively managing its portfolio through regular asset rotations. In 2024, the company has executed 17 divestments against 20 acquisitions, though its activity has moderated in the first half of the year.
