Andhra Pradesh Energy Minister Confirms No Electricity Tariff Increase Amid Infrastructure Expansion

Andhra Pradesh Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar announced that the government has not raised electricity tariffs since taking office and will not do so in the future. He inaugurated a 33/11 KV substation in Kasinapalli village, part of a broader initiative to construct 200 substations statewide.
The Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme aims to provide 24-hour rural power supply. Ongoing power works worth Rs. 7,000 crore are underway, including efforts to reduce power costs. The PM Surya Ghar scheme offers subsidies for solar panel installations.
