FLOW CONTROL

The City of Aransas Pass broke ground on a $12 million stormwater pump station on Feb. 11. Funded by the Community Development Block Grant program and Texas General Land Office, the station aims to alleviate flooding in the area and is part of the city's response to Hurricane Harvey. It will be the fourth pump station in the city, capable of pumping over 15,000 gallons of water per minute, relieving pressure on existing systems.
