Residents of two Yarm estates experienced disturbances due to a clogged sewer linked to a nearby pumping station. Tankers and jet-vacs were deployed by Avant Homes to address the issue. Yarm Ward councillor Andrew Sherris reported that residents were not notified in advance, leading to sleepless nights.

The blockage was attributed to excessive rainwater and debris entering the main sewer. Avant Homes is investigating the cause and aims to resolve the situation promptly.
