Boston Dynamics has teamed up with Google DeepMind to enhance its Atlas humanoid robot with advanced AI, aiming to perform various industrial tasks, especially in the automotive sector. Announced at CES 2026, the collaboration will leverage the Gemini Robotics AI model to improve the robot's perception and interaction capabilities, with plans for commercialization in 2024. Hyundai Motor Group, Boston Dynamics' majority shareholder, is investing $26 billion in U.S. operations, including a new factory to produce 30,000 robots annually.
