Carbon Direct and C2X have partnered on the Beaver Lake Biofuels project in Louisiana, aimed at converting forestry residues into biomethanol and carbon dioxide removal credits. The project plans to produce 550,000 tonnes of bio-methanol and store 1 million tonnes of CO₂ annually, with a final investment decision expected in 2026. It will create approximately 660 jobs and utilizes existing industrial infrastructure.
