China Trains Kazakh Workers for Astana Light Rail Project Under Belt and Road Initiative

Chinese instructors are training 20 Kazakh dispatchers in Tianjin for the Astana light rail project, which is the first urban rail line in Kazakhstan. The three-month program includes classroom instruction and hands-on training.

The LRT project, built with Chinese technology, spans 21.39 kilometers with 18 stations and aims to cut travel time and alleviate traffic congestion. Chinese companies oversee all aspects of the project, including system installation and personnel training.
