Croatia Launches €1.68bn Climate Social Plan for Vulnerable Households and Small Businesses

CLIMATE POLICY, REGULATION & CARBON MARKETS

On February 20, Croatia's government unveiled a €1.68bn Social Plan for Climate Policy targeting vulnerable households and small businesses for the period 2026-2032. The plan, presented by Environment Minister Marija Vučković, will be financed through the EU's Social Fund, including €1.26bn from the new emissions trading system and €420mn in national co-financing. It encompasses 12 measures including housing renovations, electric vehicle purchases, and the establishment of energy communities.
