CSIRO has launched a AU$3 million upgrade to its Renewable Energy Integration Facility in Newcastle, enhancing capabilities for testing vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology and other renewable energy systems. The facility will support the integration of solar, batteries, and electric vehicles into Australia's electricity grid, addressing the growing commercial interest in V2G solutions.

The upgrade more than doubles power testing capacity and introduces advanced simulation tools. This development coincides with increased investment in EV infrastructure in Australia.
