Daikin-Rechi India Pvt. Ltd. has started building a rotary compressor manufacturing facility in Sri City, India, with an investment of ₹547 crore. The project, a joint venture between Daikin Air-conditioning India and Taiwan's Rechi Precision Co.

Ltd., aims to create around 500 jobs and will be developed in three phases, with an initial capacity of 2 million compressors annually, expandable to 9 million. The facility supports India's 'Make in India' initiative and is expected to enhance the HVAC sector and technology transfer.
