Dalkia to Implement M&E Systems for British Museum's Energy Centre Project
FLOW CONTROL
The British Museum has selected Dalkia to manage mechanical and electrical systems for a new energy centre aimed at eliminating fossil fuels and reducing carbon emissions by 1,700 tonnes annually. The project involves civil engineering, an overhaul of existing energy infrastructure, and construction of three buildings.
The energy centre will replace gas boilers with an all-electric system, including heat pumps and an electrical boiler. Construction began in autumn 2024, with completion expected in 2029. The project is valued at £33 million.
