Electricite du Cambodge (EDC) has launched a bidding process for a 60 MW solar power project in Kampong Chhnang. This initiative is part of a larger 100 MW solar park plan aimed at increasing renewable energy in Cambodia's power mix.

The project will be developed under a build-own-operate model, with a maximum tariff of $0.076 per kWh. Companies must provide a $500,000 financial guarantee to participate. The initiative supports Cambodia's goal to enhance energy security and meet growing electricity demand.
