Three community-based land restoration projects from Ethiopia have been selected by the Carbon Accelerator Programme for the Environment (CAPE), a UK-supported initiative aimed at mobilizing investment for emissions reduction and ecosystem restoration. The projects, AfriScout Regen, Chifra Landscape Restoration Project, and The People's Chaka, will receive advisory support to achieve investment readiness. CAPE focuses on equitable financing structures benefiting local communities through carbon credit sales linked to ecosystem restoration.
