The Evansville Area Plan Commission denied a rezoning request for a septic disposal facility proposed by TSF near Skylane Airport. Over 20 community members opposed the project, citing concerns about its location in a flood zone.

The petition can be overruled by the Vanderburgh County Board, which will meet again on February 24. The facility is intended to address a disposal problem as the Evansville Water & Sewer Utility will cease accepting raw septic waste this summer.
