Exolum, Methanex Corporation, and Ørsted have launched the UK's first bio-methanol storage and supply service at the Port of Immingham. This service aims to support decarbonisation in maritime transport despite a recent delay in the IMO's Net Zero Framework vote.

Exolum will provide storage infrastructure, Methanex will supply bio-methanol, and Ørsted will utilize the service for its offshore wind farm maintenance. The project addresses domestic shipping's significant CO₂ emissions, marking a step forward in reducing emissions in the maritime sector.
