Fraser-Fort George Regional District Considers Heat Pumps for Exploration Place and Beaverly Fire Hall

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George will discuss heat pump installations at Exploration Place and Beaverly Fire Hall on Feb. 26. A feasibility study indicates that replacing the HVAC system at Exploration Place could cost about $346,200, with potential rebates of $200,000 and greenhouse gas savings of 456 tonnes. The Beaverly Fire Hall could see costs of $238,200 for one heat pump, with rebates of $178,650 and a reduction of 121.7 tonnes of emissions, while two pumps would cost $286,800 with a $200,000 rebate.
