Garrett Motion Inc. has received its first serial production award from Cling for its oil-free, foil bearing centrifugal compressor, which will be integrated into electric buses and trucks. Production is set to start in 2027.

The compressor offers improved cooling efficiency, reduced size, and lower noise levels, validated through testing in 2025. It operates at speeds over 160,000 RPM, supports 400V-800V heat pump systems, and promises 45,000 hours of maintenance-free operation.
