METHANOLNATURAL GASBIOFUELS

In 2025, GENA reported the registration of 94 new renewable and low-carbon methanol projects, bringing the total to 273 projects with a combined capacity of 56.5 million tonnes by 2030. The pipeline saw significant growth, particularly in power-to-methanol technology, which now accounts for 51% of renewable methanol capacity, with China, Europe, and North America projected to lead production.
