Grant County Public Utility District plans a major expansion of its Mountain View Substation in Quincy to enhance transmission capacity and reliability. The project has received a Determination of Non-Significance under the State Environmental Policy Act.

Construction is set to begin on May 20, 2026, and finish by November 24, 2027. The expansion will enable the substation to serve up to 650 megawatts of load.
