Himachal Pradesh Transport Dept Achieves Rs 1,000 Crore Revenue Milestone in One Year

The Himachal Pradesh Transport Department has reported over Rs 1,000 crore in revenue for the past year, attributed to automation and reforms. Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri announced a 75% increase in revenue compared to the previous regime, with Rs 2,740 crore collected over three years.
Key initiatives include auto-approval systems for permits, e-challan enforcement, and the auction of fancy registration numbers, generating Rs 81 crore. Additional reforms include extended vehicle permit validity and special registration for vintage cars, easing bureaucratic processes for operators.
