Iberdrola has completed a 65MWp solar plant in Saxony-Anhalt, designed to supply renewable electricity to Salzgitter AG for its green steel production. The facility, spanning 45 hectares and featuring over 92,000 solar modules, is expected to generate around 60 gigawatt hours of electricity annually, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions. This project supports the decarbonization of the steel industry and was developed in partnership with local companies to promote job creation.
