Ironwood City Commission Sets 2026 Goals and Approves Capital Improvement Plan

The Ironwood City Commission has approved goals for 2026, focusing on housing, a downtown community center, walkability, and blight reduction. They adopted a six-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) in compliance with the Michigan Planning Enabling Act.

Other actions included a $315,704.07 internal loan for a cold storage building, declaring and selling surplus water pumps, a services agreement with Gogebic County Land Bank, and a motor grader purchase increase. A payment of $957,485.37 was approved for C.D. Smith Construction for the Water Treatment Plant.
