Italy's Energy Transition Faces Challenges with Gas Dependency and Slow Decarbonization

Despite some advancements in the electric sector, overall renewable energy in electricity, heat, and transport is around 20%. The reliance on gas continues, with calls for a shift towards heat pumps and electrification. The current fiscal incentives have not significantly reduced energy consumption, leading to concerns about Italy's slow progress in the energy transition.
