Jindal Steel Group plans to expand its operations in Oman to achieve a production capacity of 10 million tonnes per annum (tpa). The initiative aims to enhance Oman's GDP contribution and promote domestic steel consumption.

By 2035, the Group intends for at least 25% of the steel produced to be consumed locally. The expansion includes a 5 million tpa low-carbon steel project in Duqm, with operations expected to start by Q1 2027.
