In late 2024, Kimco, a Belgian carrot and onion specialist, integrated six optical sorting machines into its facility, marking a significant modernization effort. The project, in collaboration with Murre Technologies, addressed space limitations and was completed without production interruptions.

The new sorters enhance sorting quality and capacity, allowing for better customer-specific responses. Kimco's manager emphasized the necessity of automated solutions in light of industry challenges such as climate change and labor costs.
