Kongsberg Maritime has secured a contract with Consórcio Marenova to design and equip four handy-size product tankers. The vessels, which are methanol/ethanol-ready, will be built in Brazil at a partnership between Ecovix and MacLaren and operated by Transpetro. Valued at over 300 million NOK, the contract includes complete ship design and integrated systems for propulsion, navigation, and automation.
