Maharashtra to Invest ₹1.5 Lakh Crore for Power Transmission Line Overhaul

Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company (MSETCL) plans to invest ₹1.5 lakh crore over the next seven years to modernize its power grid. Initial projects worth ₹25,000 crore to ₹30,000 crore are expected to commence within six months.
MSETCL has allocated ₹7,000 crore and aims to generate an additional ₹3,000 crore by FY26. The state aims to increase the renewable energy share from 30% to 60% by 2030 and implement 24x7 renewable power with a capacity of 2.5 GW, requiring ₹30,000 crore from private investors.
