METHANOLNATURAL GASBIOFUELSAMMONIA
In 2025, maritime shipping in the Port of Rotterdam bunkered 17,644 m³ of bio-LNG, a sixfold increase from 2024. Total fuel bunkering reached 9.8 million tonnes, with a 3,000-tonne increase from the previous year.
The volume of biomethanol also rose significantly to 11,819 tonnes. However, total bioblended fuels dropped by 14% compared to 2024, with recovery noted from Q3 2025. Additionally, the first ammonia transfer between ships occurred in April 2025, aiding future green ammonia bunkering preparations.
