ROBOTICS
Nazarbayev University researchers have developed the A.GEAR exoskeleton for stroke and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, achieving state registration and readiness for mass production. Approved by Kazakhstan's NDDA, A.GEAR aims to replace imported devices, reducing healthcare costs and enhancing access to recovery technologies.
Development began in late 2021 at NU's CEMRR, with commercialization led by Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. Clinical trials were conducted in Karagandy and Astana, and preparations for supply agreements are underway.
