Nigeria Customs Service Launches Automation of Licenses and Permits to Enhance Trade Efficiency
INDUSTRIAL IOT
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has initiated the automation of licenses and permits to lower business costs, minimize human interaction, and enhance trade facilitation. This initiative is part of the broader 'e-Customs' project aimed at digitalizing procedures and reducing fraudulent practices.
Importers and agents can now process applications digitally without visiting Customs offices. The new system is expected to streamline operations, improve revenue generation for the federal government, and has already seen training for Customs officers ahead of its rollout.
