Operation Service Delivers Christmas Trees to Veterans at Joint Base Cape Cod

NEWS

On December 6, 2025, Operation Service, a nonprofit based in Massachusetts, donated dozens of Christmas trees to service members at Joint Base Cape Cod as part of its 'Trees for Soldiers' program. Volunteers from Operation Service and the 102nd Intelligence Wing distributed the trees free of charge to veterans, Massachusetts National Guard members, and active-duty personnel from the Space Force and Coast Guard.

The initiative has provided over 1,000 trees to local veterans since its inception in 2010, driven by community support. Co-founders Mike and Joe Firmani emphasized the program's growth and its impact on military families, particularly those on tight budgets.

Capt. Bill Peterson from the 102nd Intelligence Wing highlighted the partnership with Operation Service, noting its importance in strengthening community bonds within the military.
