Origis Energy Secures $290 Million Financing for Swift Air Solar II and III Projects in Texas

DIRECT AIR & OCEAN CAPTURE

Origis Energy has closed $290 million in financing for its Swift Air Solar II and III projects in Ector County, Texas, which have a combined capacity of 313 MWdc. The financing package includes construction debt, term debt, and a tax credit bridge loan arranged by Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking and Santander Corporate & Investment Banking.

The projects are set to commence commercial production in Q4 2025 and will supply energy under 15-year Power Purchase Agreements with Occidental Power for use in the Direct Air Capture facility, STRATOS. The financing marks the first joint project financing by Natixis and Santander for Origis, following previous collaborations on a $750 million construction warehouse facility and an upsized development facility earlier in 2023. The Swift Air projects are part of a larger 600 MW complex planned for Ector County, Texas.
