Pennsylvania PUC Receives $2M Grant for PATER Study on Grid Upgrades

The US Department of Energy has awarded a $2 million grant to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission for the Pennsylvania Accelerated Transmission and Energy Redevelopment (PATER) Study. The study, in partnership with Team Pennsylvania and state agencies, aims to assess opportunities for grid enhancements to meet rising electricity demand. It will evaluate retired power generation sites, analyze existing transmission infrastructure, and identify investments for modernization to support economic growth.
