Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has acquired SR and ER Power Transmission Limited to improve inter-regional connectivity between the Southern and Eastern Region grids. The acquisition, completed on February 3, followed PGCIL's selection as the successful bidder under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding route and involves a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) arrangement with PFC Consulting Limited.
