Rețele Electrice Romania has commenced construction of a 110/20 kV substation in Balotești, scheduled for completion in 2027. The project, costing over RON 75 million, aims to enhance electricity supply capacity and safety for Balotești, Corbeanca, and Otopeni.

The substation will feature modern equipment and allow for future capacity increases. Additionally, modernization works on medium voltage power lines in the area will benefit 15,000 customers, with an investment surpassing RON 115 million.
