Shenzhen's First Dual-Fuel Methanol Bunkering Vessel Completes Inaugural Operation
METHANOL
China's first domestically built dual-fuel methanol bunkering vessel, Daqing 268, successfully completed its inaugural operation in Shenzhen, loading 200 metric tons of green methanol onto the COSCO Shipping Carnation. This milestone supports the development of the Greater Bay Area as a green shipping hub and aligns with China's carbon reduction goals, as the demand for green methanol in the shipping sector is projected to reach 12 million tons by 2030. The green methanol was supplied by CIMC Enric's new facility in Zhanjiang, which has an annual capacity of 50,000 tons.
