Six communities in Alaska have been allocated federal funds for infrastructure projects through the THUD appropriations bill. Kodiak receives $5 million for harbor upgrades, Soldotna gets $2.387 million for transportation infrastructure, Petersburg Borough is granted $2 million for harbor protections, Anchorage obtains $1.75 million for a new electric substation, Ouzinkie is awarded $1.1 million for harbor modernization, and Homer receives $250,000 for float system replacement.
