GREEN CEMENT
The South Australian Government is lending $12 million to Hallett Group Pty Ltd for its $200 million Green Cement Transformation Project in Port Augusta, which aims to convert the former Northern Power Station site into a hub for green cement production. The initiative is expected to create 150 construction jobs and 50 ongoing positions while reducing cement production emissions by 30%. This project is part of a larger $2.5 billion investment in regional energy projects, with the Federal Government also contributing a $20 million grant.
