Southwest Airlines Expands Automation Using Ansible Platform to Enhance Network Management
INDUSTRIAL IOT
Southwest Airlines has significantly reduced the time required for network configuration and upgrades by implementing the Ansible Automation Platform. The airline saved at least five months in building and testing NAC configurations, completing them in six weeks instead of the previous eight to twelve months.
The platform enables simultaneous launches of 100 Playbooks, enhancing scalability and efficiency, particularly for Cisco IOS upgrades. Automation minimizes human error and allows engineers to focus on more complex projects, including network analysis and improvements.
