Power was restored to 106 postcode areas near Oswestry, Shropshire, following an unplanned outage reportedly caused by an explosion. SP Energy Networks confirmed the fault affected the SY10 and SY11 postcode areas, with restoration efforts underway.

Power was restored at 11:28 PM, and residents were advised to unplug appliances during the outage. The energy supplier issued an apology for the inconvenience.
