SunZia Project to Deliver Clean Energy from New Mexico to Arizona and California by 2026

The SunZia Project, spearheaded by Deb Haaland, is set to be the largest clean energy infrastructure project in the Western Hemisphere. It includes a 900-wind turbine farm in New Mexico and a 550-mile high-voltage transmission line aimed at supplying renewable energy to Arizona and California. Currently under construction, the project is expected to begin commercial operations in 2026, providing clean power to one million homes in the Southwest.
