The UNDP and Africell have formed a partnership to enhance internet access at University Innovation Pods (UniPods) in Sierra Leone and The Gambia, supporting the Timbuktoo program aimed at fostering innovation in African startups. Africell will supply high-speed internet and digital tools, while providing training in robotics and entrepreneurship to empower young entrepreneurs. This initiative is part of a broader goal to mobilize $1 billion to improve 100 million livelihoods and create 10 million jobs across the continent.
