W3C Launches Verifiable Supply Chain Community Group to Combat Fraud with VCs

The W3C has launched the Verifiable Supply Chain Community Group to enhance decentralized data standards in supply chains using Verifiable Credentials (VC). The initiative aims to reduce fraud and improve efficiency by enabling secure proofs of origin and compliance with existing standards such as GS1 EPCIS and ISO frameworks. The group will produce toolkits and specifications and establish certification guidelines for governance in supply chain claims.
