Westmorland and Furness Council Awards £300,000 to Futureproof Cumbria for Zero Carbon Project Expansion

Futureproof Cumbria has received £300,000 from Westmorland and Furness Council to expand the Zero Carbon Cumbria project. This funding builds on a previous £2.5 million from the National Lottery aimed at promoting climate action across the region.

The ZCC Partnership includes over 300 members from 80 organizations focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The funding will enhance collaboration and support efforts to influence national climate policy. Michael Robinson has been appointed as the new partnership manager for the project.
