On February 12, 51 South Korean lawmakers, including Cho Kye-won and Park Hee-seung, will hold a discussion at the National Assembly Library on the Korean Peninsula KTX rail network and national balanced growth. The forum aims to propose a route connecting key areas including Yongin's semiconductor cluster and southern coastal tourism hubs, advocating for its inclusion in the 5th National Railway Network Plan (2026-2035). If realized, travel time between Seoul and Yeosu could be reduced to under two hours, enhancing economic connectivity.
