Albania has approved CWP Europe's 600 MW wind power project in Tropoja, aimed at diversifying the country's energy sources beyond its heavy reliance on hydropower. The EUR 1.2 billion investment will cover 385 hectares and is expected to connect to the grid within 12 months. CWP Europe, which has a total of 1.5 GW of wind and solar projects under development in the country, also recently partnered with GE Vernova for a hybrid project valued at over EUR 1 billion.
