Alliant Energy's 99-megawatt battery energy storage system in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is set to be operational by the end of 2026 after construction began in spring 2025. The project aims to power over 100,000 homes for four hours and is part of the Clean Energy Blueprint targeting significant emissions reductions by 2030.
